Sikh Education & Welfare Aid (U.K)
S. Gurbachan Singh Sidhu, with the active co-operation of other donors from UK has launched a subsidiary of Guru Nanak Charitable Trust under the banner of  SEWA  (Sikh Education & Welfare Aid) U.K. endeavors to alleviate human suffering wherever it may be found. It includes protecting life & health to ensure human dignity and to foster friendship & understanding between different communities. SEWA (U.K) does not make any discrimination on the basis of nationality, race, religion, belief, class or political opinion of the recipients. It is guided solely by the needs; but gives priority to most urgent cases.

A substantial amount of fund has been earmarked and kept separately as fixed deposit. The bank interest accrued from this fund is utilised for the following purposes:

  1. Assistance to Disabled Persons in the form of surgical treatment, aids & appliances, artificial limbs, hearing aids, dentures etc.
  2. Help to bring up orphans, unwanted and abandoned children Scholarships & other help to these children especially in their education.
  3. Provide food and shelter to uncared for elders.
  4. Help widows and families, which have no earning member, and do not have reasonable means of livelihood to fall back upon.
  5. Immediate help to victims of accidents, flood, fire, earthquake, and other natural disasters.
